  They had planned our 6 days tour , they also arrange hotels , however planning could have been better, as our activities got over in morning and then we will wait rest of the day doing nothing, or we will travel to one place and then wait for 6 hrs for next activities like ziplining. Other than this, we are satisfied with their service. Everything was arranged , planned and confirmed well. We would definitely recommend this tours and travels service to our friends. such a great place these people that work here are the best This is the Alaska Travel/Tour company you want. We picked a vacation package and tweaked it to our desires. Every detail was taken care of and the trip went without a hitch. They booked all the lodging, train, bus, and excursions. You may be able to save a few bucks doing it yourself. Here's what they take care of: places you stay at are nice and provide shuttles to/from airport, train, hotel or the excursion. Or the trip/tour picks you up at the hotel. The times line up; meaning you won't miss something (train, excursion, etc. ) because something was running long/late. Here's what I saw by people saving money "doing it themselves ". A lady arrived at the train station to find the train she needed was sold out. "What? I called and was told I didn't need reservations. My whole trip is ruined!" I saw a guy at the Kantishna Roadhouse deep in Denali all bent out of shape because his DIY booked Kantishna Air Taxi Flight arrived back in Denali too late to do the whitewater rafting trip he had scheduled and already paid for!" I saw families at the train station trying to get transportation to a hotel they booked at that didn't offer shuttle service pick up. This Will not happen if a good tour company that knows the ins/outs takes care of you. Every place we went expected us. Hotels had the reservations, trains had us on the list, airplane charters had us on the manifest. No problems! If you take the train, upgrade to Goldstar Dome. Well worth the comfort, the perks (meals/cocktails) excellent views. I made one reservation with Alaska Tour and Travel. They mailed me an accurate day-by-day itinerary and all vouchers. Painless. They know the Alaska companies/businesses to use-great reputations, customer service, reliability etc. the companies they use know Alaska Tour and Travel customers, meaning if they disappoint a customer, they're disappointing a string of future customers. Alaska Tour and Travel did a wonderful job of organizing and taking the worry about visiting Alaska. Our itinerary was all laid out, our tickets were in order and we never had to worry about when & where to catch a shuttle to any of our events. Our only disappointment was that we weren't able to take the Denali flight, but that was due to weather which Alaska Tour & Travel couldn't control, even as good as they are. We were refunded the cost of the flight without problems. If you're not sure what to see in Alaska, use Alaska Tour & Travel. They are very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We used this company to book a train ride to Denali and a motorcoach ride back to Anchorage. Our interaction with the customer service reps told us this was going to be an excellent trip. Both trips were comfortable, accommodating and the way to go! The Wilderness Express is worth every penny. Our tour guide, Trish, was sharp, funny and kind. The food was wonderful; try the reindeer sausage! Our motorcoach return trip was also the way to go. Our driver stopped for a few wild life sightings and gave some informative talks about areas we passed through. Overall, much better than renting a car because you don't have to drive and the scenery is too epic to miss!
