AAA may be great for roadside service, but don't go here for passport photos. I have the top membership level and went there for photos, and was charged $40 for the pictures for my 2 kids. Ouch! Could have gone to Costco for $5 each. Addendum: Our car broke down 100 miles out of Anchorage and the service we received was outstanding. If they changed their passport photo prices I would give them 5 stars. Absolutely the worst service I have ever experienced! Had an accident 7/16/2017 on my side x side which I am a premium member and it covers, I called they and gave them my membership number and they tried to tell me I did not have the coverage??? As they were trying to look up my information we became disconnected. The as of now have never returned the phone call! Mind you I told them that we had flipped several times and my wife was injured and they never bothered to check back with me! I will be going tomorrow to cancel my policy. I paid some private citizens to pull me out and render aid to us since AAA could careless and is the most useless agency I have ever dealt with. We tried to call them back to complain about the service we had received and we were placed on hold 2 different times for 45 minutes the first time and more than an hour the second time and still have yet to hear from a living breathing human being!!! When in Alaska do not waste your time nor money on this POS! Great maps, tour books and helpful triptix. I had only a vague idea of the route planned by another person, and the information I was given here with only a few days notice was priceless. I called AAA on a Saturday at 7:pm. I am suppose to have the best coverage they offer which is the Premier RV. I called because I was at a movie theater and my battery was dead when I tried to leave. I just needed a jump start. They first told me they would be to me in two hours. I said no problem, they called back after a hour and said they cant get anyone to come all the trucks are busy. I told them I would wait because I did not have any other way to jump start my vehicle. I explained to them I had not cash, and I was sitting in my car in the cold in the snow. They said sorry we just talked to our companies and none of them have a truck powerful enough to jump start a vehicle,. That is a complete lie and everybody that has any sense knows that. Even the lady on the phone did not believe what she was telling me. Still they told me they could not help me and I was on my own. I had no money, no people I can call and I was left to leave my car and walk 10 miles home in the snow and in cold. AAA use to be a company you can trust but I am here to tell you that you cannot trust them in Anchorage Alaska to help you at all. AAA should be ashamed of themselves for what they did to me. In preparation for an European vacation, I needed an International Drivers License. In a few minutes, AAA Mountain West- Anchorage had taken the required photos and completed the License. At the same time, I found several small travel aids like a power adapter and road maps to start the trip. Good start!
