I called and inquired about a two-person Inflatable Kayak rental and was told there were boats available. Upon arrival at the rental facility, I was told the Kayak was ready to go and I didn't need to check it out (my mistake). I was told there were two seats included and was given two paddles. After flying to a remote fishing location, I unpacked the raft to discover it was a one-person model and it would not allow us to proceed with our fishing trip. I returned to Anchorage and returned the raft and explained what happened. The employee just smiled, shrugged their shoulders and apologized. I understand we all make mistakes, but at minimum I expected a refund in the difference of a 1 person vs 2 person boat. No such luck... At least the flight was scenic :/ The experience was overwhelmingly postive. From the friendly and knowledgeable staff (and owners) to the high quality gear, everything fit neatly into a fair priced package. 100% recommend this great company to anyone on a budget (or anyone in general) who wants to explore some of the beauty that the Alaskan wilderness has to offer! Wonderful shop! We came in from Dallas and were treated very well by employees. All necessary material was provided and we were given tips about best areas to go on that day. Rentals are for 24 hour period (waders, poles) which I really appreciated since they close a tad early in my opinion. The gear we rented was in great shape and really made our trip. Camping is so much better than hotels, and even with rain every day we were happy, dry and well fed! Also, we made a last minute change to our reservation and the owners gladly accommodated us with no extra fees or fuss. They also gave us great tips on hikes and other activities to do! These guys are awesome. They have great gear at reasonable prices. If you want quality stuff from a place with great folks who know their gear and will treat you right, please consider this company.
