I purchased a vehicle from here and got a decent deal. Service is terrible once you go in for maintenance though. I would not advise purchasing non GM vehicles from here. You'll have to take it to a different dealer for everything. They only do tire rotations and oil changes. IE if you buy a dodge you'll need to take it to dodge for flushes ect.. might as well buy new from that dealer. Less hassle. Ask for John Isaacson! He sold my Husband and I both of our vehicles and is incredibly nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this dealership. They didn't pressure us into buying anything and when I told them our budget, they showed us vehicles within that price point. Came for maintenance of my company fleet vehicle. They did not have my appointment on record despite me calling several weeks ago for one. Although they let me drop off the vehicle that day, they did not start working on it until the next day, resulting in delays. On day of pickup, they had no record of payment by the fleet management company so I had to call the latter party and have them explain everything (i.e. the bill goes to the fleet management, not to the driver). Overall poor communication. The staff are nice and seem eager to help, but my overall experience was less than optimal for the aforementioned reasons. I Would have given a ---Star but there isn't an option for that! Alaska Sales and Service-Anchorage has the very worst customer service I have had experience with. None of the departments have any type of communication. The sales staff promise you things that the service department wont honor. I have had nothing but trouble with my 2017 Chevy Silverado. The service staff want to just say that the clunking and jerk from the transmission is NORMAL for the 8-speed transmission. I am no mechanic but I do know that a BRAND NEW truck transmission should not have a big clunk or jerk about it. Especially when we have paid over $50,000! Again I am completely and utterly UN-SATISFIED. Are you trying to buy a car? Well you are probably not getting that best deal there is at Alaska Sales and Service. Last week I was referred to AS&S to see a car I was interested in. Haggle for a little while and took it for a test drive. I offered what I thought was a fair price and the typical "song and dance" routine of, "let me take your offer to the back". Comes back with a number and the salesman swears this is the absolute lowest price. Talking about list price, then Internet price, how they have been holding on to the car all winter blah blah blah, this is the price. So I say I will think it over. Next day haggling still not budging. 3rd day I say I just can't do it for that price. So the very next day I look on the Internet and low and behold is the same car I was looking at for $500 less than their absolute lowest price they quoted me. Now I am not angry at the Salesman, he was just doing what he was told by his boss (probably the General Sales manager), that is the guy that I'm pissed with. So, long story I know, but if you want a good deal on a car or truck... I would probably look at another dealership other than AS&S.
