EXCELLENT CARE provided by Dr. Riddle and staff. I’ve never posted a review before, but feel the post below is so off mark, that I will today. I have two cats and two dogs and have transferred all of their primary care to the Diamond Animal Hospital after having sought treatment and receiving stellar care there for two pet emergencies. The front desk staff, vet techs, and vets provide professional, compassionate, and focused care. They handle my animals gently and practice excellent hygiene/infection control. Dr. Riddle specifically provided excellent care to my cat while he was hospitalized there for a week with a bladder obstruction. This was a very stressful event for me and I really appreciated the time Dr. Riddle took to explain what causes urinary obstructions, discuss treatment options, and go over costs of care with me. It was so hard to drive away and leave my cat at the hospital, but I felt I was leaving him in hands that truly cared, and I was right, he came through beautifully. Dr. Riddle is now this cat’s vet and I bring all of my pets to Diamond Animal Hospital for routine and emergent care. I commend all of the staff at this hospital for not only being able to work with stressed animals, but also having the skills to work with stressed owners when they bring in their injured and sick pets. I am so relieved to know this clinic exists, thank you! As the only other emergency vet clinic in Anchorage I expected them to know what there doing but they didn’t. My experience with this clinic almost killed my animal from there lack of basic vet skills. They prescribed the wrong medication for the illness They examined the animal and missed obvious wounds that with my untrained eye was obvious to see They didn’t use antiseptic when they should have After several visits they were dismissive that the animal was getting worse and didn’t offer any basic explanations or offer any suggestions of how to make them better They were rude, abrasive and handled the animal rough If any one is planning to use this vet, please think of the care of your animal. There cheap and you get what you pay for there. After all the visits and bills to this horrible clinic, I said enough was enough and went to a different clinic and found out that because of there lack of proper vet care I had to have my animal put thru surgery to fix what would have been a simple antibiotic treated ailment. If you can, make a appointment at one of the other clinics around town and pay the extra 10 to 20 dollars, it will save you money, time, and worry in the long run.
