A few things to say, #1 - I don't for one minute believe the first review posted here based on our Interacrions with Dr. Haggee through the years so they are either talking about a different vet or they are likely drastically exaggerating their negative experience nothing about his practice or set up makes me believe the description that was given. #2 - instead our experiences have all been totally different. Very kind and informative every time we take our animals to him. Seems very knowledgeable and much better trained than the "national chain" vets we have experienced. We recommend him all the time and he has always shown all of our pets warm and caring attention. I wish I could rate 0 stars. We had a horrible experience, from start to finish. We were contractually obligated to have our dog neutered through Dr. Hagee due to the adoption agency's policies, and I would have preferred to pay out of pocket for my own vet instead. The vet technician was extremely rude and hostile, and was aggressive while handling my dog. I was informed that I would not be called if there were any complications, and that I just needed to show up between 3 and 5 PM to see if he was ready to leave. Upon arriving for pick up, I entered the building to find my dog alone in the room, in his kennel, in a corner. There was no staff in sight, and I had to call out for someone to even respond. I waited several minutes, at which point Dr. Hagee entered the room and asked what he could do for me. When I said I was ready to pick up my dog, he asked me which one that was. I pointed to my dog, in his kennel, and he told me to "go ahead and take him then". I asked how the procedure went and he replied with a sarcastic comment about "looking up how to do it right before". I asked about after-care instructions, and he advised nothing more than to avoid letting him run around. No other information was provided, there was no verifying of who I was or whether my dog truly belonged to me. My dog was extremely shaken up, and acted very scared when let out of his kennel, as though he had been hit or manhandled. This is especially alarming to me, as he is deaf and has limited vision, making him even more vulnerable. (This information was also provided to the vet technician, who shrugged.) I will never take any other animal to this vet. When I called my own vet and asked for actual after-care instructions as well as a follow up appointment, they knew immediately which vet I was unhappy with and stated that they had heard numerous complaints from other pet parents. Never again. Don't take your animals here.
