Great Place to store! Older Mini-storage with great rates and locally owned. Just Changed their name to Discount Storage which fits their prices! After calling around I was surprised at the discounted rate I was offered!!Easy acess for my large moving truck. They were quick to give me free recycled packing boxes when I ran out...I'd stopped by the office to buy boxes and they offered the use of recycled boxes that you return when you move out. Great idea! I'm looking forward to free heat in winter and there's no hidden fees such as computer fees, sign up fees etc. one guy I met had been there 3 years and hadn't had a rent increase. I called around to other storage companies and none would guarantee no rate increase for 6 months or more like Discount did. The unit I rented was $80 cheaper than the closest competitor!!Great price and Nice people! Not fancy but great prices Great service, cheap units What can I say? Cheapest rates in Anchorage! I called several other storage companies and Discount Storage beat their price by $50-$100 on the various size units. The free heat and no rate increase for one year which was put in writing on the rental agreement. I've been there for 5 months and can find no fault with the service or storage. The heat went off for 2 days when the boiler malfunctioned. John the clerk in the office called me the same day and offered a unit in another heated building for my use while the plumber waited on parts. Not having anything that would freeze I declined. Heat in my unit is warm enough to keep everything above freezing.....however the room cools down rapidly when you open the roll up garage door. I gave it 5 stars for price, access, and the staff offering to move my stuff to another unit while repairs were being made to my building. Very reasonably priced with friendly, helpful employees.
