I got married in July, and Cedars provided all the sunflowers and baby's breath we needed for our ceremony and reception decorations. The prices were extremely reasonable, and the flowers were just stunning. My husband and I enjoyed talking with the staff, who were all very helpful. Cedars is definitely the way to go for flower orders in bulk! Went to Cedars because we wanted fresh flowers for our wedding. Even though it was short notice (week and a half) we were able to preorder everything we wanted. Flowers arrived on the date we agreed on and they were beautiful, out of everything we only had one rose that didnt survive shipping. Staff was always friendly. Great selection & great prices, especially when compared to other wholesale shops in town. I recently purchased flowers for my daughter's wedding from Cedars. It was an excellent experience. I don't live in Alaska, so I worked with Aram through email and over the phone. He was able to find the flowers that I wanted, for a very good price. I must say that I was nervous about buying so many flowers sight unseen, but when I picked the flowers up I was impressed by the quality. Out of 6 large boxes of flowers there was only 1 bunch of calla lilies that were bruised, and I was able to substitute these without a problem. The flowers opened perfectly for the wedding day, and were still gorgeous 1 week later. I would highly recommend Cedars. Haig was friendly and courteous when we ordered. Ordered powder pink hydrangeas for a wedding. They came in fuchsia but Cedar's did not call to let us know. The woman they recommended as a floral designer picked them up and used them in the bridesmaids' bouquets without informing us of the color discrepancy either. When we went to pick them up the morning of the wedding she acted shocked when we told her we couldn't use them. On top of that, the woman also prepared an eighteen inch bridal bouquet, complete with thorns and no drip saver. When I held the stems at my hips the arrangement came up to my nose (I am 5'8). Since we ordered in bulk, there were supposed to be leftover flowers for vases in the church, but there were none. It is not clear whether she threw them out or used them for another customer. Since we paid for them, she should have given us the option of taking them even if they were wilted or no good. The rest of the morning of the wedding was spent searching for fake flowers at Michael's and Joann's. Bottom line: It's understandable that flowers don't always arrive in the color expected, but it is inexcusable to not inform the customer of the discrepancy, especially when ordering for a wedding where color shade is very important. Also, beware the woman they recommend to arrange. If you're going to use them for a wedding make sure you have a back-up plan. It's such a long story, but brides, please beware. My order was essentially typed incorrectly and lost. I think Cedars is fine for if you're just walking in and wanting to select what they have on hand, but I would never trust them with an order or a large event.
