Love this sports facility! Not as big as the Sullivan Arena, but it gets the spectators closer to the players. I've mostly attended Seawolves basketball and volleyball here. Fans get to know each other well enough to become friends, if they aren't already! Every seat is a good seat, even in the "nosebleed" area; not that far away. I haven't attended a concert here, but friends tell me sound is great. The running/walking track is very nice. I'm not a fan of the fast food concession, but there are fresh food and prepped food stands provided by the Varsity Grill that are tasty. Plus, the Varsity Grill itself is a good place to eat or catch a beer or glass of wine. The Alaska Airlines Center is the best location for a venue. I suggest parking in the area if the parking lot is full. The audio is great, so you'll enjoy hearing the lyrics and music. The stairs feel steep, so step slowly with your beers. There are bathrooms at both entrances. If you use the entrance on the street side (north) there isn't a line most of the time. Have fun and drive safe. My ask if I wanted to go great AK shoot out I almost no I'm glad I said yea it make,s me want to get out more instead of staying indoors Probably the newest and nicest venue for sporting events and musical entertainment in the Anchorage area. Sound is great and the venue isn't too large, allowing a more intimate feel for concert goers. Love watching UAA sports here! Snack bar is horribly bad quality food though but the kids like it anyway.
