I have used California Closets on multiple occasions. I can't thank them enough for all the creative ideas on making my space so much more efficient. From the designer to the installing crew this is an A+++ experience. I will load pictures soon. I have always considered California Closets to offer a high-end product with quality customer service. However, my recent experience with the Anchorage, Alaska location has been a huge disappointment. I ordered a closet organizer and followed the manufacturer's instructions exactly. I installed everything perfectly level as I knew it would be critical to completing the install. When I attempted to 'lock' the top shelves down to the entire system. they would not lock. I discovered the suspension brackets were installed too close to the top of the system because the pre-drilled holes were done incorrectly, they were too close to where the shelves are installed. Before I discovered the cause of the problem, I broke a couple of parts to trying to install the shelves. I called the store and spoke with a person in the shop. I explained the problem and he understood and agreed that there was a mistake made on their part. I then spoke to the owner, he requested photos which I sent. He argued with me and said everything looks fine and that is just how it is. The owner refused to offer of any form of resolution and refused to have an employee come out to take a look at the issues with the install. I am still unable to complete the install properly. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau to try to resolve the problem. Don't recommend very bad customer service. I recently had both a closet and a custom bookcase installed by California Closets. While I wasn't present during installation, I did meet Manuel and felt he did a very nice job of installation. He was punctual and pleasant and seemed very competent. I am enjoying the closet and bookshelf and would have more items installed if the need arose. Easy to work with. Punctual and thorough. We liked that it was designed and built exactly the way we wanted and with very little muss and fuss on our part.Thanks. We love our new office/bedroom!
