My family takes their small dog to Bev's regularly. She provides very consistent service and manages to fit him with short notice. While Bev is not the most bubbly person you will meet during your day, you can tell that she really cares about the dogs and is passionate about her work. She is direct with my family and we are direct with her so there is never any question about what we or the dog will be getting into or walking out with. Her pricing seems reasonable for the area and in comparison to the various other states the dog has been groomed in. Bev's Dog Grooming is an Anchorage institution.We especially appreciate that Bev is open on Saturday! They did a wonderful job on our pets. Both of my dogs are very difficult in stressful situations but Bev's didn't have any trouble with them. She clipped them exactly how we asked. Their nails were clipped short and the ears were cleaned. The price was more reasonable than any others that I called. I highly recommend their services. You know, when you see a bunch of poor reviews posted online for a site, you think you should avoid the place. I almost did, I won't lie. However, I now know that I never want to go ANYWHERE else to bring my precious mini schnauzer. My dog is part of my family - my baby really...and whenever I bring him in to see Bev, he starts with his whole body wiggle that is always reserved for the people he loves most ;) He licks Bev all over her face and she just lights up when she sees my pup! Her and her staff treat my dog with love and affection and are always happy to see us. Ever since the first time I dropped him off, I knew he was safe, every cut he has gotten has been top notch, and it is way cheaper than Petco or other large stores. I cannot recommend this place enough. I would say the people that have posted poor reviews wouldn't be satisfied anywhere. Otherwise, how could their experience be so different than mine at the very same business. Please give this place a chance - I doubt you will be disappointed. Bev's is the only place to take your pooch! Bev is great. She knows dogs and her crew is all professional. I choose Bev's Dog Grooming over any of the corporate places. I've taken my dog to Bev's Grooming for 3+ years without any problem. My shih tzu always comes home looking and smelling great. She groomed my Newfoundland puppy today, and he looks sharp, too.
