I took the train from Talkeetna to Denali in the Adventure class. Even though it was the "low end", it was spacious and the staff were very kind and helpful. The ride was smooth and the guide was knowledgeable. I did not each on the train, but the other guests complemented the food. Enjoyable, comfortable, scenic train ride from Denali to Anchorage. Great views and great food and service. $73 to go 110 miles(Anchorage-Talkeetna)=Fair; $80 to go 16 miles(Portage-Spencer)=Exploitation! Take the train every year fun fun We took the train from Anchorage to Seward and had a wonderful timer. The staff was friendly and knowledgable, and the scenery was fantastic!
