I have never paid more than 29.99 for a pair of tennis shoes, I'm obviously not a runner, but I'm trying to get back in shape and I noticed my feet hurt badly after going to the gym for a week, so I went to Sknny Raven in Anchorage hoping a good pair of shoes might help. The middle aged gentlemen that help me went above and beyound, measuring my foot, finding several pair of shoes for me, insisted that he put them on for me and asking many questions as to how I would be using the shoe. I now own a hundred dollar plus pair of shoes that after a week of running at the gym have my feet loving me again. The professionalism this man displayed still has me astounded knowing that they don't work on commission. He is truly a powerful aset to this store, thanks again Skinney Raven Staff! JC Murray, not sure how I ended up under Art3mis jone, but my computer skills are about the same as my past running shoes knowledge, LOL Shopped here for the first time on Friday. I went in with the expectation of spending over $100 on a pair of running shoes to replace the $25 Fila running shoes I wore out training for the Mayor's Half Marathon. I hurt my knee in the process, so my wife told me i had to get better shoes. Carl helped me get what I needed. He was really helpful and professional. Time will tell if the shoes are worth the price, but I'm hoping they will be. Helpful sales staff, high prices but worth it. I love the fact that this place does weekly running events as well as some of the coolest runs in anchorage on a regular basis. They do the color run and the super hero run just to name a few. Then there the raffle tickets and the cool giveaways of their incredible sporting equipment. Can't work out because it hurts to much. Pay them a visit and they will find the right shoe to get you back on track.
