Quality work, good service, fair prices. I've taken several pairs of dress shoes in for repair and cleaning, and the results have exceeded my expectations. I recommend Fireweed Shoe Repair to friends and family often. Fixed the stitching on a Dansko shoe for a reasonable price. Said it would be a difficult job but he would try. Came back for it a week later and it was fixed and looked fine. Matched the color of the threading pretty well. Happy to not have to dump a pair of Danskos over a small stitch repair. Owner seemed friendly enough to me and I had no problem communicating what I needed done but I suppose my issue was pretty obvious. Would come again. I was recommended this place for boot shining. I was charged $70, took a week, but they looked good. I later realized they had basically been painted, not shined. Went back months later and he insisted I must have brought them somewhere else. I gave him another shot and he did the exact same thing. Fool me twice, shame on me I guess. I will always get my shoes, boots and purses repaired here. There have been many times I thought my shoes wouldn't be salvageable and he did an awesome job. I don't know why you would need to make a personal connection with a shoe repair guy. I also don't know why you'd need a "rush" on a repair. Everyone has plenty of shoes to last a week. I'm busy. I like being able to get in and out quickly. If you need to be coddled by your shoe repair guy, go somewhere else. He has never been rude to me. I don't care how much English he speaks or that I have to pay with cash. Big deal! If you want a great job done along with a smile and a thank you, go to Fireweed Shoe repair. Had 3 pairs of shoes repaired and zippers on 2 pairs of jeans replaced. the man was very nice and negotiated with price a bit. would definitely recommend and will go back again for sure!
