I was not impressed with this place. Sorry, but veal parm should not be made with ground breaded veal patties. Not for $23. a plate, anyway. The food is not terrible or anything...it's just that they charge premium Italian restaurant prices for only mid-level Italian restaurant fare. Will not go back until either the prices come down or the food quality improves to match what they are charging for it. I wish I could leave a good review but unfortunately there wasn't anything good to say. Our waiter seemed knowledgeable and friendly but did not seem to have enough time for us. We sat down at 5:25 p.m. and ordered right away, received our appetizer at 6 p.m. and received our food at 6:40 p.m. When I asked why our food was taking so long I was told some dishes take longer to make which is an answer that I would be fine with but all three other parties that had sat down after us had already gotten their to-go boxes before we even got our main course. One couple got there 20 minutes after us the second and one 25 minutes after us and a single man at the same time as the second couple. By the time we got our food it was lukewarm to say the least. When I talked to the owner he said it was because we got an appetizer it would make everything take longer. But I don't feel it should have taken an additional 45 minutes. I ordered scampi Della casa and my wife ordered baked cheese ravioli. From my review I hope they improve as I am not complaining to just complain. We love this place. Fantastic food and excellent service. Great wine selection. The food here is always great...all of it. Small cozy restaurant with a story behind it. For dessert I tried the 10yr tawny and the 10yr Madeira. The Madeira was sweet and a pleasure to enjoy after dinner. The tawny had a coffee or hint of chocolate, I recommend the 10yr madeira. We came here on Thursday night. It took 20 minutes to serve us water and take our order. The pizza order got messed up, so we had to wait while another pizza was cooked. And they didn't even make us a discount! The food was decent, but horrible service and expensive. Not worth it. I will not come here again.
