Food & service are great. Pricing is very good at lunch (I'm rarely in the area any other times) good location, not too busy during lunch hours usually. Just moved to Eagle River from Texas and this was a so far the best place for a taste of back home. Margaritas, food, and service was great! The atmosphere is very vibrant and fun. They have a large menu, I dare say too large because it took us a while to decide, haha. Reasonable priced for Alaska. They even provided corn tortillas though they weren't listed on the menu. Great place that we found close to the house and when we are craving Mexican/Tex-Mex we know where to go. I walked in and was immediately greeted by one of the busy servers. He informed me the seater would be right with me. After a few moments I was sat by a smiling hostess who quickly brought us both hot and mild salsa with chips. The decor was well thought out, with lots of colors and booths with depictions of Mexican life. The servers all wore black pants with matching t-shirts. I ordered the chimichangas as an entree along with a few tacos off the appetizer menu (forgot to ask about corn tortillas). The food was good, not great, but way better than any other Mexican restaurant I've eaten since moving to the Anchorage area. Overall, it was a pleasant experience which I would pay to have again. I make it up to Eagle River once every 2 yrs or so and make it a point to always eat at the best Mexican restaurant in Alaska or even down south. The food is fantastic and plenty of it. We've never been disappointed. On weekends be sure to make a reservation, cuz Jalapenos is very popular. I wish I did not have to give a star at all the leave a review. I gave this place 3 chances and well 3 strikes and it's over. Between my self and always 2 additional friends with me we have had 9 different items on the menu and nothing was satisfying.
