Been in for 9 years and have been to about a dozen dining facilities. This one is by far the nicest looking, and also has some of the best food. It is now privately owned as well, so they don't tack on that surcharge. Highly recommended. The Iditarod Dining Facility is the "Finer" DFAC on Joint Base Emblemdorf-Richardson (JBER). This is where they make the food in front of you instead of precooking it and warming it up for later (Army DFAC). One of the best dining facilities in the Air Force. Great selection, plenty of space. The quality can vary depending on the day, but generally you can get a large portion of healthy food for a low price (my average is around $4-5 with a soft drink). I would stay away from the steak, as it's more pricy and not very good. The pork chops/loin is usually pretty dry as well. Good food and friendly staff. Good hours too.
