So my boiler/furnace was dripping water and I called R & S. They showed up on time, figured out the problem but the part was tough to find. Yet, 2 days later they found the part locally saving us from a shipment from Italy as it was a rare part. Installed it hours later. Leak fixed...Then, my Heater stopped working later that night. The technician came back, and my pump went out...he had a spare pump, installed and got me up and running in a matter of minutes. Knowledgeable technicians. Big shout out to Jeremy for the amazing service. Very professional service and at a good price. Would recommend to everyone. They came to service the house before we purchased it and made no mention of thousands of dollars in corroded parts that needed to be replaced. 4 months after purchasing the home the hot water stopped working, they came out and the technician said an air bubble got into the system, likely on account of corroded parts, and the air bubble burned out the pump. Charged full price for service and was recommended that we pay thousands to replace corroded parts. Technician said he would talk to previous technician and customer service at R&S to see why the corroded parts were never mentioned 4 months prior. I called customer service 2 weeks later as I hadn't heard back yet. I was told that it's not their fault that they didn't notice the corroded parts all over the furnace, as that is not the reason they were called out. I asked why I should trust them as a company to service my heating system if they only do the bare minimum and ignore issues on one visit (that caused me to loose hot water and heat) then tell me that I have to replace thousands in parts ASAP before my heating system is damaged more. He suggested I use another company. Not just bad customer service, it was NO customer service, no accountability, and obviously no competence or consistency with the technicians themselves. I will not recommend this company to anyone. My appointment was scheduled for 1:00pm. By 1:20 no one was here, no one called. When I called the shop I was told the tech was eating lunch and would be out "soon". At 1:50 the tech showed up, fixed the pipe and charged me $190.00 for 20 min of work. When I asked why, I was told it was an hour minimum charge however that was never explained to me when I scheduled the appointment; was only told it would take an hour and the labor rate was $140.00/hour. Getting a straight answer from anyone to questions like how long will this take, how much do you estimate it will cost or when will you be here is far beyond the capabilities of these employees. I would pay for a quality plumber to drive from Anchorage to have someone who cared about their customers time and could give a straight accurate answer. Thank you!! Great Service. Did not make me feel stupid for not knowing my heating system. Excellent customer service and expertise. They have my business.
