These donuts are the real deal. Gone are the days of Anchorageites flying to New York to wait in line for a cronut or shipping out to Portland for Voodoo. During the soft open, we were able to buy a mixed dozen that featured some truly amazing treats. Top of my list was a magnificent cronut filled with lemon curd and topped with a sweet poppy seed frosting. Also outstanding were the old fashioned (both a chocolate on chocolate affair and a vanilla glazed with a very buttery salted caramel). I will be back after the official opening for sure. Side note: the mixed box included a vegan donut which tipped my wife off to the fact that the box was pre-selected because she knows that I'm against vegan donuts on principle. But damn. That one was delicious also, great cinnamon flavor. Friendly. Delicious. Innovative.
