The latest shopping center in Anchorage makes shopping easy. Tikahtnu Commons has popular restaurants, shopping, and one incredible movie theater. You'll also find public transportation and the VA Hospital down the street. I really enjoy driving up to the front of the businesses rather than walking through a maze at a mall. The road work congestion and the limited access to Tikahtnu Commons is worth the visit any day. Even though having these business close to home are convenience, most of the larger business treat this as a less profitable secondary location. This means they're usually under stocked compared to the other location(s) in town. This is especially true for Best Buy - don't even bother, just go to the Dimond Center location. Lots of good stores in one area, as well as a theatre and restaurants. Good shopping. The commons has a little bit of everything. An IMAX movie theater, restaurants, multiple retail clothing chains, Sam's Club, Target, etc. Definitely worth checking out. Texas Roadhouse, McDonald's and Panda Express a re all very clean and make high quality food. I went to the shoe store there and got a great great deal on cute boots that were on clearance and they took an additional 10% off for military. The Target is super nice and the customer service is great.
