They say on their menu that they have a Chicago Dog Vegetarian which is all the great fixings just minus the hot dog. When I asked for it the cashier just stared at me and said "Um.'' I then had to encourage her to ask someone if they make them or? Then she came back and said they did make them but, without the hot dog. OKAY. The wait was almost 30 minutes, not an exceptionally busy time of day and the staff apologized for the wait. What annoyed me though, and it might seem small but, really it isn't, the vegetarian hot dog was missing the mustard. What is so challenging about omitting one thing, such as meat, while not omitting the other ingredients? This seems to be the plague of a vegetarian item offered at restaurants in the area. There's the offer, but, it's rarely if ever as described and it's such a hassle to even request it. We will try this place again because we LOVE Chicago style food and we LOVE Chicago and maybe this is just a bad day or something. But, when offering vegetarian items; it needs to be made with the same dedication to detail; as if the meat was on the bun. Great food! My daughter ordered bacon on her burger and man! She was not disappointed! Service was friendly and polite. Food was hot and fresh. I recommend this place. We ate here when they first opened and was glad to see it was still here and open seven years later after we moved back to Alaska from the lower 48. I've been in Anchorage for 10 days and we have been on a quest try different pizza place so far that includes Fat Ptarmigans, papa John's and mouse tooth. We went here because my buddy had to have a deep dish pizza. If you gotta have one, just call Papa John's it's much better quality, cheaper and they deliver. The place feels and tastes like Domino's but costs WAY more! so If you want good pizza both fat Ptarmigans and mouse tooth deliver. I prefer Mouse tooth though lots of options, great crust, and great tap selection. That's mouse tooth not Johnny's avoid Johnny's. I love the beef sandwiches and the onion rings. Don't try to eat it in the car, it's way too messy. Great Chicago food, fast friendly service. By far the most authentic in Alaska
