Best wine selection in all of Anchorage! Doug, Kim and Ryan really know their stuff and I would recommend anyone check out their store for any of their wine needs or wants! Doug, Kim, Ryan and the entire staff at WineStyles are the nicest most helpful, and professional people I've ever met. They have taught me so much about wine without talking down to me. One of the things I like the most is what most people don't know; they are constantly helping the community...always doing fundraising events for different non profits and individuals. I don't know where their energy comes from! They are tireless and selfishly donate their time & ALL the proceeds at their events. Whenever I'm in the store it seems like everyone is their friend not just money for the register; a complete contrast to the WineStyles I visited in San Diego that I found out was the number 2 WineStyles in the country...I asked who was number 1 and the owner said she WAS but now the Alaska store is number one. She said "I don't know what they are doing up there but I'd like to know." I guess they must be rated on a bunch of different things from the sound of it, but I was just happy to hear it. Doug & Kim have never said anything about being number one in the country! Just shows again where their hearts are. It's a great place to go for wine but also a pick me up because they are always so nice. Thanks guys... This is a great wine store. They have an awesome wine selection and the staff seemed very knowledgeable. I will definitely be a regular here. The only thing I noticed was- there really aren't any bottles under $14.99. They have great wine, so it's totally worth it- I am just used to looking for bottles between $7.99-12. The extra few dollars is worth it, it will just take some getting used to. They also have a wine club, which I will look into joining. I took my first trip into winestyles the other day and to find out for myself what it was all about. They have a unique selection of wines orginized in a very easy way. The staff there was helpful in selections and the wines were very well priced with most wines under $20.00. I have been a member of WineStyles wine club for 6 months. This wine club is awesome! They have amazing small botique wines from around the world. Although initially skeptical, I would recommend joining their club. Wine Diva knows best...
