My story is very long so I will try to make it as concise as I can. First, let me tell you that my issue is NOT a big issue. I could move on and not say anything. But I am writing this as a caution warning to anyone who needs it. We had mold in our house so we had to clean all of our clothes. It is just me and my husband. My husband had little to no clothes. He had LOTS of ties but he did not have very many other items. On the other hand, I had lots of clothing items. We also had to take in some bed sheets and some little and large items. So to be fair, we did have a lot of items all combined. I picked this place because the owner is Korean. Before going in, I called and made sure that someone can read Korean label and handle my Korean clothes accordingly. The owner was very polite and reassuring. I felt comfortable taking in my items because she said she will inspect everything and she will make sure everything is taken care of. We dropped a van full of clothes and other items. At the time of drop off, I asked her if I could stay and go through the items with her. She told me that we don't need to do that and that she would take care of everything. However, She did not tell me exactly how much they were going to charge me because there were too many items. My husband went to pick up our clothes after three weeks. The bill came out to be $6,917.75 as you can see in the picture. Our insurance company limit went over because of other items in the house with mold so we had to pay the dry cleaning bill out of pocket. I was really frustrated with the billing. She did not tell us that it would cost that much.... But I understand it was a really complicated situation. So, I did not give her hard time about the bill one bit. I had been living in ONE outfit for over a month and a half at that point and I wanted this mold nightmare to be over, to be honest. I came home and as I was putting away my clothes, I noticed that one of my maxi dresses was missing. It was a dark blue maxi dress that has ivory color lace around my waist. It had really thin shoulder strap (looks like tank top). I thought I had missed it somewhere so I looked for it. It was not anywhere! Other dresses that were hung with the missing dress were there. So I knew it made it to the dry cleaner. I keep all my maxi dresses together so I knew if my other maxi dresses made it to the dry cleaner, then the missing one made it there as well. I called the shop and talked to the owner. She politely told me that she did not see any maxi dress like that. She repeatedly said that I did not bring in any dark blue maxi dress. But I know I did. Like I said earlier, one missing maxi dress is not a big deal. It won't ruin my life. I can live without it but I paid $6,917.75 out of pocket for dry cleaning. I did NOT even question her work although there were some clothes that did not even look like they were cleaned at all. It just looked like they were folded in a different way to make it look like they were touched. Also, I did NOT question her price point. I told her how thankful I was for her service. At this point, I don't even know if any of my other clothes are damaged because I cannot check all my clothes individually. A lot of things are happening with mold, house, family health, and my husband's training and upcoming deployment. I am not physically at the house to be able to check all of our items right now. At least not for a while. So I don't even know if other items are damaged or missing. But I, for sure, know this one item is missing and she refuses to admit it. Being nice to a customer does not change the fact that they lost my item and are refusing to fix the problem. If you can count all of your items on the spot and she can give you an estimate on the total amount for service, you may be safe there. But if you are in a situation like mine, I would advise you to be aware. When things are simple and easy, you won't have a problem. But when you have a complicated issue, that's when you truly see the true face of a brand or company. Took my Halloween costume here (it was a sateen and I couldn't get the dirt off myself). Kim loved the costume and did a great job cleaning it. She also only charged what she quoted me, though I know she spent a lot of time on this one. Definitely will go back! Great work. Much appreciated. Kim does a very good job. She works very hard at her job and does amazing. My "Go To" dry cleaner. As previous review from 'A Google User' stated, prices are very reasonable. I'm not sure about others, but she also dry cleans hats. She turned my dirty white (off-white anyway) fitted into brand new. And it even had a good smell on the inside as if never worn.
