If you're looking for a cozy neighborhood bar then Van's Dive Bar is your next stop. Van's Dive Bar was previously named 'Kings X'. On the outside there isn't much to the place. Located next to the best pan-fried chicken diner, Lucky Wishbone. On the inside Van's Dive Bar is cozy and well designed for live bands and sports events. The bar is on one side, seating in the middle, and pool on the other side. The restrooms are down the hall and at the end of the hall is a very small outdoor area to have a smoke. I feel like the new name also brings a new clientele to this cozy neighborhood bar. Next time you're in the area stop by for a quick beer and relax. Cheers. It's a decent dive bar. Small bar and one pool table. Local bands live music at times. Strong drinks and great atmosphere. The open mic is always great. Live bands on the weekend and the best bartenders! Owners are awesome and lucky Wishbone is next door, what more could you ask for?!?! Best damn dive bar in town! Cheap drinks, beautiful barstaff, and live music from local Alaskan musicians from across the state!
