Thoroughly enjoyed my experience here in Orso, a cap to my last night in Anchorage. The food was spectacular, nice atmosphere. Overall cost for myself was $35, but expected as this place was more upscale. Very much enjoyed the appetizer tower. Felt like an adult kid, complete with a well crafted creme soda and baked mac and cheese with bacon. Yum! Service was spot on! Wish I could remember my waiter's name, but he was funny yet attentive to my order. One of the fancier restaurants in anchorage, there is a bar on the first floor and has a second floor where you can sit even more people. A cozy place, kind of reminds me a warm longhouse. The food is slightly pricey but that’s what you have to expect when coming here. The food came out extremely quickly and service was very good! Just had dinner here tonight, for our anniversary. I had ribeye, hubby had lamb shank, both were excellent! Calamari for a starter, nothing to write home about. Chowder was good. Wines by the glass, good selection. Didn't give 5 stars because menu was pretty small, not a lot of good high end things. We got right in, atmosphere was warm and comfortable, service was amazing, presentation was beautiful. The crab and rockfish were to die for. Our server Mark M was hilarious, very attentive, and helped me pick out my meal. I'll definitely be coming here again and bringing my whole family! As always; the food and atmosphere is great! Always enjoy coming here before a symphony.
