Terrible, the place is full of the "posers" which is one of the school's many problems. The food is less desirable than prison food, the teachers there are blissfully ignorant of any form of disrespect and bullying. I, as a student seen and have been bullied. I get circlejerked and harassed every day. Then if the kids aren't human garbage then I don't know what is garbage anymore. If that wasn't enough the kids run off the campus and go to nearby stores. I bet there is gang activity in BMS too. The teachers don't actually know how to teach. The SPED program is OK but if the kids are as friendly as a cactus then what's the point. The passing period is too short for the architecture and the kids often gang up and clot the hallways. I personally have no friends and hate everyone there. The staff don't really care about the kids. They have favorites and have very clunky and unorganized teaching methods. I got placed in Pre-Alg 1 since I am in gifted and I don't know the math, nor the reason for why I am still in there since I get straight D's Begich Middle School is a place were there is a lot of different races of people. A lot of the most disrespectful students there are the kids with a "Squad". They lack respect for people and the property of school. I know for a fact they smoke and do drugs. I as a student hate this. They ditch school to go to stores by Begich. My mother and I both feel like the principal doesn't always follow through with his job. On the first day of school one of my teachers didn't even show up to class. So far this is the third time. Some of the teachers always mention politics in the class, which irritates me really bad. They are suppose to be talking about their subject. Not about politics and their personal life. The students are very wasteful. They get lunch/ breakfast just to throw it away. Students write on the walls in the bathroom as well just stay there just to be on their phone. The students cuss and raise their voice at the teaches. They do inappropriate things. I do recommend some teachers here because they teach very well (Robert Bane. Madison Rosser. Robin Tozer. Walter Maslen. Keenan Casteel. Mariah Graham.) Some other teachers also really care and as well support the students. Eric Symmes took his own time to help fix my glasses case and I'm sure he helps many other students. Madison Rosser always tries to emotionally support her students the best she can. This is my last year at Begich Middle School I have been here for three years now and this is what I see at the school. It's cool I love the foid and I was there last year as a 6th grader now I'm a 7th Best middle school. I went to goldenview last year and had a very bad experience there. The teachers here are amazing, very accepting and understanding of difficult situations! Had a low GPA last year, now a 4.0. Best Alaskan school!!
