I went to Jack Russian for the skate park... while I didn't expect Anchorage to have a huge skating community.. it was tough dealing with kids with little etiquette.. hanging legs in the bowl and sliding in and running all around... then Lort! that ice cream man showed up and they went wild.. so I left.. amazing park overall though! I'd love to have a bike for the trails when I return :) Took my grandson to Russian Jack and he enjoyed the playground area it was clean and I had a place to sit that was close by and other parents and Grandparents were there with their children or grandchildren no disruptions of any kind the kids all had fun the nearby skateboard area was full of kids of all ages they were all using their skateboards or helping each other with problems it was just a really awesome afternoon and my grandson and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Awesome park for all ages! Cool kids play area and new skate park to the side...3 Porta-potty in the park and decent too -clean. Large green areas for all worth of games and gatherings... Its by far one of the too 3parks in ANCH! Tranquil place to walk or hike. There are recent bear sightings so be aware. Love this park! Good sized park with equipment for small to big kids! Also had a skate park for the bigger kids and a softball feild, so you can catch a game!
