Point Woronzof is a rocky beach with a head-on view of Sleeping Lady (Mount Susitna) across Cook Inlet, and quite possibly the best place in Anchorage to watch sunsets. It sits right behind the Ted Stevens International Airport's cargo terminal, so it is quite loud with planes flying low overhead throughout the day. While that may seem annoying, it is one of the parks main attractions. The park is also on the Coastal trail, and is a good place to park for jogging, biking, or in the winter skiing the trails. One of my favorite spots in Anchorage. It is right at the end of one of the runways of Anchorage Intl. Airport, so one can enjoy watching an endless stream of cargo and passenger planes coming in low over the shoreline and landing at the airport. So cool! Nice shoreline too as well as a view of the Anchorage skyline, and a great place to watch the sunrise. Great place to bike, ski or walk, nice sunset views of the inlet, always be prepared to encounter moose. Beautiful park! There's free parking and it's park of the coastal trail! There's views of mount Denali on a clear day “Nice Vista Point.” U can see all anchorage skyline from here....also u can see sleeping lady mountain...if weather permits then Denali is also visible from here. I also enjoy when plane is taking off or landing over here.. next to airport.
