My son and I just had our fingerprints taken and we're treated absolutely wonderfully! Exceptional respect and kindess. She is a wonderful employee. Also the receptionist at the front desk was very helpful and nice, both on the phone and in person. Our thanks to both of you! OCS is Alaska is unreal. Have they helped any children or just caused more harm than good? This Agency bases everything on "hearsay". As a grandparents we have been ignored completely And that is only the least damaging thing they have done How is it possible to give zero stars?! This place is a horrible place. They do not care at all about "children". They care about children that are young enough to adopt out. Bc unfortunately the only foster parents that they can get are people that cannot have children and want to adopt. So therefore they can only find placement for children of certain ages. For example, I have been harassed by OCS, my children ranging from 2-10, and they will stalk; they make accusations; ask my children very inappropriate questions while at school after already causing PTSD in all four of them; telling them things that are very untrue; and none of the accusations being true; ect. While at the same time, a 15 year old boy got beat up so badly by his dad with a cinder block that he ended up in the hospital, this not being the first time his dad has done this! He got sent to API by OCS then API released him so OCS put him in the covenant house for the night until morning came; then at 6am he became a homeless CHILD! And a 8 year old lives in that same home where he came from! But for two years nothing has been done to help and protect this 8 year old and 15 year old!!! While me a single mother of 4, loves my children more than life, protects them to the fullest, lives for my children and my children are clean, taken well care of and safe gets harassed constantly by these people! They even stalk my house! We have picture of one of them messing with my babysitters tires! I hold a high respect for CPS, RSSR, two other state child's services but I have never seen anything like what ALASKA OCS stands for. It's shameful and should be investigated by people outside of this community so that the children that really need help can get some!! By far the worst unorganized agency and rude rude rude staff. They are overworked and mix cases up all the time and they think they don't have any issues when I know for a fact several of them are users so in my opinion to talk hypocrites. I've filed numerous grievances and filed 2 complaints with the Ombudsman office and they have been very helpful. They seriously need new workers cause the ones I have been working with always slip me through the cracks and even the front desk reception lady is extremely rude, filed a complaint about her. My attorney had to go all the way up to the director in Juneau to get in touch with someone. They just aren't on top of their game and they ought to be ashamed of themselves
