At first our experience was good. We thought Mrs. Dorothea was making progress with reviewing over everything with our case. Hired her for about 1 month and nothing was filed. We are not sure what is going on with refunding our remaining balance back to us, til this day.We concluded our business with Dorothea on April 27th, 2016, and have yet to be refunded $3668.75. We feel as if this is very unprofessional. We had no problem complying with the $5000.00 retainer. We have called multiple times, left messages, and even emailed, with a very few responses back through email. We feel that there should not be an issue on her end, with refunding what was not used. With us trying to receive our refund, there has been a huge disconnect with her assistant and Dorothea, no proper communication amongst each other, or with us. Professionally, she held us up. Not only did she miss the dead line to file in Alaska, we have to wait on Dorothea to refund our money, and still waiting on the certified papers to be mailed to us to be filed in another state. Dorothea's office has set us back almost 3 months on procrastinating. I was recomnended by another Anchorage attorney to contact Mrs. Aguero and words cannot describe how grateful I am to have chosen Mrs.Aguero as my attorney . I hired her to represent me in the beginning of 2016 . My case was not a easy one and through it all Dorothea has stood beside me making sure things were filed on time and that I was updated on current motions filed. As draining as my divorce case was she always made sure to do what was best for me in my case . I currently live out of state and Mrs. Aguero always emailed and called me with any action I needed to proceed in . If you want someone who will represent you and fight for your case then I recommend her.
