I would not go anywhere else! S&P always gave me prompt service at a very fair price. They offer military discounts. The owner is a vet and cares about the troops. I used them to inspect vehicles I bought, and for repair. They excelled at both. The owner personally told me to pass on a truck I had him inspect, when it would have been to his financial advantage for me to have him make repairs down the road. When we were moving, and had a breakdown the day before I had to ship my van out of state, they worked me in on no-notice and made sure I did not miss the shipping appointment the next morning. They also took care of us for tire jobs, as the tire shop across the street was frequently "too busy" to provide basic services. This is a GREAT team that does a great job. S&P provides the kind of work and customer service that we all miss from "the good old days." Make this your car care place! Do not hesitate to take your vehicle here. They are very hosnest and straight forward. I took my daughters care here and they could have gotten far more money out of me. I went in completely prepared to spend the money to replace the engine. They advised against it and told me my daughters car had life left and fixed the terrible knocking. Got me in 4 days before they said they would. I will definitely be back to this place. Thanks. Dont trust a place that wouldnt give me a straight answer on a diagnostic quote for specific problem. The girl said could be 50 for 1/2 hour labor or 100 an hour labor or more depending on how long it takes them to figure out the problem smh im not about to hand over my car before i know what youre charging me, no thanks maybe if my husband went in theyd be giving him 5 star service like the other guys but ladies, beware! First and last visit. Charged $500 for labor on a job that took two hours. Paid $314 for a clockspring that is currently under recall from the manufacture. (I believe a car care place should tell you about recalls instead of trying to make a profit, the average consumer doesn't know when or what's under recall) Now has a 2 inch play in the steering wheel and the mechanic blames the wide tires on the report... I've had these size tires for 4yrs now and know that's not true. Battery was overheating and melting into battery case. How did they fix it? They took the fuse out... bravo. Pure genius And to top it all off. Closed on Saturday. Sure must be nice for the employees. But what about the people of Eagle River that have things to do? Brought in my 12-year-old Ford F-150 SuperCrew 4x4 with the service engine light on, and popping a P0303 error code - badly misfiring on cylinder #3. I made an appointment for later in the week (Thursday), but I had the ability to drop it off early (Monday). They had it done by Wednesday afternoon, and the truck now runs GREAT!! I bought this truck used in 2014, and the previous owner said he had it been having it serviced at S & P Certified Car Care, and recommended the business. I'm glad I listened, as they've been maintaining the vehicle ever since, and I couldn't be happier!!
