The staff at Excellence in Dentistry explained everything well, listened to my concerns, and answered my (many) questions. I was confident in their work and they took the time to ease me through the process. They conveyed a sense of urgency in my situation and had me back in the office for my procedure in less than 24 hours. Everyone was professional, compassionate, friendly, caring, and dedicated. Dr Skinner put me at ease right away and I have every faith in him. I have been seeing Dr. Johnson since 1993 and have been completely satisfied with their professionalism, service, and ease of scheduling. In a couple years, I will be retiring and leaving AK. I can't imagine how I will ever find another dentist that can match the professionalism of Dr. Johnson and his staff. Perhaps I should just fly back up for fishing or skiing, and schedule my appointments at the same time. I've been a patient since I was 16, 22 years now. The work is always top notch and the customer service is tremendous. I never feel like a number or a dollar sign, but truly a patient. During a time I wasn't covered by insurance I went to another dentist that I thought was "cheaper" ... and I paid with a tooth and a less than ideal crown. Never again! They always do a great job. Most importantly, they go out of their way to manage my sensitive teeth even during routine cleanings. I recently went through orthodontic treatment and both of the doctors in the orthodontist office complimented the quality of my crowns. This place is very friendly, almost overtly so. However, it is quite apparent that money is the priority at this place. They often talked about how insurance was playing games and when you get the price, you might be a little surprised. I was told I had really good teeth, but still needed four fillings. I previously only had a few fillings in my life. I'll let you be the judge on integrity there.
