In Anchorage for work and this church is less than a block from my hotel. I was privileged to worship with them this Sunday morning and was very impressed. The people are incredibly friendly and the music and message was very good. My wife and I moved to Anchorage two years ago and found out about Heart of the City through an acquaintance. What drew us to this church was the boldness of the preaching - the willingness to above all preach the name of Jesus and proclaim the Gospel to the downtown area. HOTC is a friendly, missional church that's chock full of misfits. We aren't the most polished church, or the coolest church, but we are a family and we love the city of Anchorage and beyond! Very eyeopening when The Holy Spirit shows you the "distractions" you were having were actually joyful praises to The Lord. I'm beyond thankful for what God is doing in the lives touched by the ministry of HOTC. Every body was really nice and friendly and the worship music was excellent!!!
