I was travelling in Alaska this summer and went to Rally for a repair on my truck. It started well, very friendly but they could not deliver, Changed the back wheel bearing and one front bearing, I had to go back for both repair ( front bearing broke and back differential leak because of changingthe back bearings ) repaired again, no charge. The differential still leaked (got it repaired elsewhere but Rally paid for it ) Front wheel bearing broke again, got it repaired elsewhere I was on my way back to Canada, but then Rally would not pay for the repair, the bearing lasted 1 month. I had a disagrement on the payment of a towing, the conversation went through 911and was recorded, when I confronted the manager with is mistake I was yelled at and he hung up on me. Cannot judge the intention but the results are unacceptable. i am retired ase certified tech.. this is by far worst shop iv encountered in this town atleast. truck worse than went in..grease marks all over headliner and lost my floormat which they replaces with a walmart special. the father i think knows what he is doing although he leaves his son to run day to day operations and hes for lack of word id like to use is a self entitled a hole who needs to find work at tacobell. very bad experience. i paid another shop 2500 rather than have them warranty their work which would have been free... thats how bad it was.the little boy behind counter i believe stole my floormats stained hadliner on purpose due to me embarassing his knowledge. also had scratches up and down sides of truck and dings. cant prove that one but i know it happened there.the little boy has bad attitude. you will know wich one im speaking of if by some terrible reason u have to go there.. hes the one with the lazy eye.. Good mechanic and fast service at fair prices. They communicate well. The first few appointments seemed OK - especially liked Nick's response until they weren't fixing the car completely. Brake issue took me three service appointments before they repaired. Meaning, they said it was fixed but it wasn't. Then, I took the car back for a power steering leak. They kept my car for nearly 5 MONTHS - telling me nearly every week that it would be done the next week, then Nick was on vacation for a couple of weeks and then it was fixed but they road tested and found out it wasn't. Every week it was a different excuse. I kept, mistakenly it turned out, trusting them. I called and called - left messages - no response. So, after 4.5 months, thinking they might have gone out of business because they weren't responding, I drove by. Seeing my car was still sitting outside in the snow, I finally got ahold of the owner. Stan, the owner was belligerent and non-apologetic about the status. I had it towed to another service shop who were able to diagnose the problem in one afternoon and repaired in two days after waiting for parts! I would never, ever, recommend Rally's to anyone. Nick and his team are nothing but kind and professional. I have taken multiple vehicles to them and they always get it right the first time and they have excellent rates and they do not try to embellish on what repairs you need. I have also referred many people to them and they always tell me good feedback. I was previously married to a mechanic and they are not all equal I've seen what good and bad mechanic do, and these guys are trustworthy!
