Element's professionals provide expert diagnostics, repairs and performance enhancements. Taylor and Paul go the extra mile to make sure their customers are happy! If you want any old auto shop with the same pushy sales, Element is not the place for you. But if you want top notch performance from the guys that built the fastest Subaru in Alaska, these guys can't be beat. Every single time, this is a very friendly and knowledgeable staff! They're more than willing to work with you to meet your needs. It's always a pleasant experience taking my cars to element! Never have I had one issue with these guys! Thumbs up Good shop good peopel profesional mechanics I service my BMW m5 all the time with elements because they know much better than BMW dealer ship knows specially Taylor his my mechanic who works on my cars Great team great mechanics keep up the good job guys I've been to this shop a few times, but the service I received on my recent appointment was fantastic and very well deserving of a review! Long story short: These are a great group of guys who I would trust if I needed to bring in my car to have work done quickly, honestly and with fair prices. There are lot of import shops in town (and even more domestic), but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the team at Element Automotive/Payless Autocare. Long story: Element is one of the few shops in town that would allow me to bring in my own OE/OEM parts for my Volvo. I was explained the risk of doing so and that the work could not be warrantied. I understood that, but considering the considerable savings and the relative easy I assumed for a ASE mechanic to do this work, (CV axle, fuel filter and spark plugs), I didn't hesitate. FYI: If you are going to bring parts to a shop, don't condemn the shop when (if for example...) the cheap Autozone remanufactured CV axle fails after only 3,000 miles. (I saved a considerable amount of money not buying OE CV axle. Volvo charges and arm and leg for this part, but getting OEM was still 3-4x more than a rebuild.) The work was completed exactly when it was supposed to and Barry at the front desk was very considerate and kept me up-to-date along the way. Couldn't have been any easier. Where Element separated itself is what happened after. I picked up the car but noticed immediately a loud screeching sound when I took left turns. I wasn't sure if this was a grease issue, or something rubbing up against the brake rotor or what. I was obviously worried something was wrong with CV axle that was put in. Like I said, I gave them the part and it was on me it that was the problem. I was ready to pay to have whatever the issues was, fixed. I contacted Bobby later and he got back to me quickly and said that I could bring in the car in the next morning and that they could take a look at it. I wasn't sure if they could squeeze me on or not, but the tech who did the job grabbed the keys as soon as I dropped it off and got to work. Not a few hours later I was able to pick up the car, fixed, free of charge. The issue? Some dirt, debris and rocks near the brakes that were wedged in there. They cleaned it out and test drove it. No more squeal! They told me to come on back anytime if any other weird symptoms popped up. I know this was a long review, but I hope this gives a person an idea on how these guys run the shop and conduct business at Element Automotive.
