Excellent food and great service. You eat outside in the AK Bar Beer Garden next door. One of the cups of Latte I have had in a long time. There is A Mexican style, tacos, burritos, etc., but with Alaskan ingredients halibut and reindeer. I had reindeer corn tacos. Delicious! Wow these tacos are so good I am already planning my next trip to get more. I drive by this place all the time and didn't understand what it was, housed in a connex next to a couple more if them, and in a part of town that's, kinda not anyplace you'd normally be eating. But heard they had good tacos, and a beer garden to boot. Turns out they have the best tacos outside of Texas. If you are not from around here you might have a hard time paying $13-14 bucks for 2 tacos (I recall getting amazing tacos in Austin and Sacramento, for $2.50 each) but fear not, you won't be disappointed. Cute, outdoor bar and eatery. Small menu, but great food. Had halibut and salmon tacos, highly recommend both of these. Also tried their big breakfast burrito, awesome and loaded. They make terrific lattes and mochas. No indoor restroom. Grabbed breakfast before getting on the train to Denali. Good food but just as expensive as what we found at the railway station. It would be a good place to eat no matter where you are headed. With coffee in one "building" and beer at the other, there is something at all times of the day. The menu is basic, but tasty, and there are plenty of solid beers on the limited taps. Dog-friendly, and good for a pint or quick stop in the sun.
